Up for an auction is my One Owner, Clean, Dependable, Always Garaged, Very Well Maintained 2004 Infiniti FX35. This is, BY FAR, the most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. It never failed me and it is still running very well. In fact, the engine is as responsive and strong as it was on the day I picked it up new from the dealer. There has been no power loss at all.
About 10 years ago my mechanic told me that the 3.5 V6 engine in this vehicle was so well designed that it was projected to easily last 500K miles. I was very skeptical of this statement but now I see that my mechanic was right. This powerplant is completely trouble and maintenance free: there is no timing belt that needs to be change, the transmission is fully enclosed and does not require any maintenance. The transmission has not slipped once so far.
I am only selling my super dependable vehicle because we moved to a different house with a smaller garage and I need to make for my Tesla that is supposedly coming soon (I"ve been waiting for over 6 months now). Otherwise I was going to keep this car forever.
The good stuff:
- I always maintain my cars as if I am going to keep them forever: only use synthetic oil, only use premium fuel, follow every scheduled maintenance. - The car was always garaged - Used for highway commuting, never abused in any way
The bad stuff:
- There is a dent on right side, passenger"s door (someone hit me in the parking lot and left). - There are scratches on the left side driver"s door and behind the passenger door - Front bumper cover is broken on the left side (I hit my own garbage can! Ugh!) - The sunroof is disabled as it does not close properly anymore - The power locks work intermittently - The driver"s seat can only be adjusted back and forth manually (up and down, sideways works fine)
