You have found a very clean, classic Cadillac. This "92 DeVille is a completely rust free California car with just 44k original miles. The car is far from standard, it has over $5000 in dealer add ons including a full Landau/Carriage top, a custom front grille, chrome package, 24k gold emblem package and Vogue custom chrome wheels with gold inserts, the car is very unique. It was owned by a non-smoker and is in exceptional condition. The car is not perfect, there are a few defects as to be expected from a near 30yr old car but it is clean and is a very difficult find with these miles, spotless history and a very desirable color combination. Also noteworthy is that the car is all stock aside from the cosmetic dealer adds, no performance parts, hacked in electronics, big wheels, etc, not even any window tint, just how you want to find one. The car is complete with all factory floor mats, trunk mat, two sets of keys, one (fully functioning) remote, spare tire, tools (including the wheel cover tool) and all owners books. Please review the 120 full sized photos below including several of the undercarriage, you will see the original tags on the suspension components and you will see there is no corrosion and that the car has never been damaged.
The body of the car is nice and straight, top is in excellent shape and the car has a very nice look to it. There are some cosmetic defects pertaining to the exterior including some light water spotting and a slight buffer burn on the hood, not noticeable from a couple of feet away, it is shiny and glossy with no fading. The most common thing with these cars in our southern heat is that the front fenders, which are not metal, they are a "composite" material and they develop hairline fractures in them. This car has a fracture on each fender which I have depicted below. They are an easy fix but I wanted to leave them original, in fear that, if I had them refinished, it could be assumed that the car was in a front end collision (which is has clearly NOT ). Still, as you can see in the photos, the car looks very nice. The chrome rocker package has some scuffing in it and can either be removed or replaced quite easily. Aside from that there are no major dings, dents or scratches on the car, it is beautiful. The driver exterior rear view mirror has some clouding and some contamination within the glass but you can still see perfectly with it, just wanted to mention it is not perfect. Chrome is nice, tires are almost new all the way around and the glass is clean, one small chip in the windshield towards the passenger side, no need to replace. Lights and lenses look great as well and the fiber-optic indicators on the fenders appear to be mostly functional.
The interior of this car is the star of the show. All leather is supple and soft, look how straight the leather is along the top of the back seats, amazing. Usually they will shrink under the rear glass, not this one, you can tell it was garage kept. There are no tobacco, pet or musty odors either, it smells fresh. Carpets are clean with no damage or excessive wear and the dash is immaculate, no warping, splits or defects, nicest I have seen in the last 20 years. Door panels are excellent, drivers door armrest just shows minimal wear. Headliner and visors are excellent, vanity lights in the visors actually work as well. Aside from the driver"s seat not moving back and forth and the power antenna, everything else on the car appears to be in good working order including the windows, locks and seats in all other directions. I can hear the motor "try" so no electrical issues there, may just need to be pushed a bit to get going. Stereo turns on and sounds good, I was unable to check the cassette deck as I do not own a cassette, A/C blows nice and cold and the gauges appear to be working properly.
Mechanically the car is sound. Engine is smooth and powerful, transmission shifts properly and the car floats down the road like a classic Caddy should. The car has not exhibited any leaks or overheating issues and there are no warning lights on in the dash.
These classic Cadillacs are starting to bring really good money at collector auctions. IF you could find another, one owner, black-on-black car with $5k in extras, super low original miles, in rust free condition with a spotless Autocheck history you would be looking at near, or over the $10,000 mark. In fact, there are a couple of higher mile examples here on with an asking price of over $10,000 but I am going to roll the dice and put my faith in the community that someone out there would love to own this beautiful car and I am running it with a $99 opening bid and absolutely NO RESERVE price.
