Description: This 1958 International Harvester A-110 (¾ Ton) is a rare Peruvian export model that was repatriated by myself in 2020. To ship vehicles out of Peru is extremely difficult, onerous, and expensive because of permit requirements, and the vehicle, according to local law, must be shipped in a container (add to that the pandemic). It was quite possibly the last surviving A-110 in Peru. The Line Setting Ticket includes export destination and factory options unique to foreign markets such as an Export Build Up, Metric Speedometer, and Spanish language VIN plate. According to the classic truck restorer and collector I purchased the vehicle from, it spent its early life in an American mine being used by site engineers in the state of Arequipa which has a high desert climate. The good ole binder runs, drives, steers, stops, and shifts like a 63-year-old truck and gets attention on and off the road. As you can see in the videos posted below, she"s fully functional, all the lights work and the motor runs quietly and smoothly with no smoke. I use it to run errands around town and she gets plenty of smiles. People are impressed when they see the Spanish language VIN plate with capacity listed in cwt and kg instead of lb. The truck has original emblems, original sheet metal, desirable 7ft. short bed and limited rust in the usual places. Oil pressure and temperature gauges are operable however the rest will need maintenance. The speedometer is in kilometers per hour. The front passenger side brake occasionally squeaks and under hard braking the truck will push to the right. The passenger side window is cracked and there are holes in the roof left by radio equipment which have been patched with aluminum tape for the the time being.
