Vehicle description
- Selling my 1987 Ford Mustang Notchback LX. It is an original V8 5 speed SSP car (Marti report shown in photos). It has 208k on the body. It has been a southwest car it"s whole life so very minimal rust. The strut towers (shown) and the floor boards are very solid. The body is also pretty straight - just a dent on the driver side rear fender well, which is shown. - It has a fresh 351w roller motor with a little under 500 miles on it. It has DSS forged pistons, eagle forged rods, and the stock crank. It is set up for boost so the compression should be approximately 9:1. It also has freshly rebuild GT40P heads with .550 lift springs and a TFS stage 1 cam. Using the truck EFI 351W lower intake manifold with an adapter to the stock 5.0 foxbody upper intake manifold (doesn"t impact current performance because the truck lower flows 205 cfm on average, which is above the heads at about 190 cfm.) The short block was assembled by a local machine shop. - Has Siemens 80lb injectors and a Aeromotive 340 lph fuel pump so it is ready for boost. - Currently tuned and equipped with the Holley Terminator X EFI system for Foxbodies. - Converted to a 4R70W from a 1999 V6 Mustang controlled by a US Shift Quick 4 Controller. Unknown mileage on the transmission, but still works well. These are rated to about 500 hp stock. Fresh fluid, filter, and transmission pan only have about 1k miles on them. - Car runs strong and runs cool with no overheating. Here is a link here to a cold start - https:/ youtu.be/YOFa2KP1Wv0 - Just rebuilt the rear end with 5 lug 31 spline axles, a Yukon posi, Ford Racing 3.55 gears, and a Drake Muscle Cars differential cover. Very low miles since the rebuild. - Full exhaust with BBK 351W swap shorties, a Mac prochamber, Mac mufflers, and Flowmaster tailpipes. - Welded-in subframe connectors - 3G alternator upgrade with wire upgrade completed - Wet 75-150 hp nitrous system with toggle switch bottle warmer - fully wired just needs to be connected to the new engine if desired (used it on the old tired 302). - SVE Aluminum 3 core radiator - Have a Maximum Motorsports strut tower brace I will also include - Have 94-95 5 lug spindles for the front, and aftermarket 94 Cobra brake hardware for the front that will be included if it hits the reserve price. - The tires on the back are NT05 275s, which are close to a street slick. They have less than 1k miles on them. - Have matching 5 lug black Bullits for the front with NT555 245s that are brand new. - The Bad - Interior needs some work, and the transmission has a leak under pressure from the lower cooler line off the transmission that needs to be fixed. Either needs the fitting on the transmission replaced or a new line. Doesn"t impact the drivability, but leaks some fluid on the exhaust under pressure. - *Receipts for almost everything available upon request. - Since this car has no cats and Holley EFI, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this car to anyone that has to pass emissions. - I"m selling it simply because I bought a 2003 Cobra and it is tough having two project cars. The emissions laws in California are also getting increasingly strict. Please feel free to message me with any additional questions and thank you for looking.
