For anyone wondering why I resisted , some flake offered me a trade, we worked out all of the details and he never showed up. Anyway. .its back up. :). Happy Holidays! !
Well, here we go…offering our highly regarded 2007 Mazdaspeed6 for sale. Why? Assuming you may be reading this ad with some knowledge of the MS6 you can understand that it is not the best option for my son to take to his first year of college in January. If you don’t know about these beast of cars…I’ll get to that too. This is an enthusiast race car disguised as a 4-door sporty looking sedan. It’s a torque monster pushing 275 HP from 4 cylinders that propels you to 60MPH in the mid 5s stock right from the factory. Throw in the AWD aspects & 6 speed manual transmission and you can understand me calling it a beast. We have owned this car for about 3 years. We bought it with 90k miles. We did the VVT at 95k miles done by Kenna Automotive. At the same time, he installed Damond Motor Mounts (all 3 places) and a cold air intake. These aggressive mounts just stiffened up everything and brings a great feel to the car…she just feels tight. We recently replaced the clutch master, slave cylinder and YES, a brand-new clutch (all new OEM parts) less than 500 miles ago ($2500). KYB Struts were done about 10k miles ago with OEM springs. New brakes and rotors about 15k miles ago. We put new rear inner fenders in from Rock Auto about a year ago done professionally. If you know these cars. they all have that issue and now its fixed. We painted the factory wheels flat black and they have held up decent although some paint is peeling. You can find a scuff here and there on wheels and one wheel has a small dent that doesn"t affect anything. The general tires probably have 10k miles and 60+% tread life left. So, let’s get on to the aesthetics……The paint is just gorgeous in Velocity Red Mica. I’d rate is an 8.5 / 10. Its deep, shiny and the metallic flakes “pop”. If you look closely you can see some normal flaws but not many. The front clip has a few scratches as does the rear bumper. You may find an occasional ding but again not many. There is signs underneath of it being driven in Western PA winters…nothing too bad but again it’s served us well in PA for the past 3 years. There is “one” rust bubble (see pic) on passenger side rear fender less than the size of a penny and it is definitely surface only. Some of the window weather stripping is deteriorated (see pic) but still serves its purpose. The interior has held up very well and I’d say 8 / 10 easily. The seats are still firm and feel great. The driver carpet has some light staining and the rubber mat on the driver side has a foot heel hole worn. We changed the oil regularly with synthetic 5W-40. It blows no smoke although it does use a little oil…pending how aggressive you drive. PA has very strict annual inspection laws governing, brakes, tires, exhaust, headlamps, turn-signals, etc. This car is inspected to 7/21 and would pass with flying colors IMO. We have maintained this car meticulously with no expense spared. All the work was done professionally and at a high level. Now, if you made it this far reading please understand how I started this ad….it’s a high-performance enthusiast race car. It’s not going to run and drive like your Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander in regard to never needing anything. These cars require maintenance. Having said that, I have great confidence in this MS6 in providing a new owner a big fat smile and a dependable race care for what it is. I have an unmarried COBB V3 that can go with it for an extra $400. I also have 2 brand new headlight outer covers that go with the car no charge. The title is clean. It has 121k miles (may go up as we do drive it). It runs like a top exactly as it should. No CEL and no issues. If you are really going to buy a MS6…this is a pretty decent option. There are cheaper options for sure but chances are you will spend more than our price if it needs any maintenance. This one is ready to go and exterior, interior and mechanically in nice shape. Oh yeah, all options work and the AC blows cold. If we sell it before mid-December, I’m going to sell it through a local dealer to you as I bought my other son a BMW from them and can count this as a trade eliminating some taxes. I am not a dealer but just mentioning this upfront….NO surprises. Thanks! !
