Vehicle description
1988 Suzuki Samurai 4x4 - 5-speed - Original Condition California Car! No Rust!
I purchased this from the previous owner"s grandson; he said his grandfather had rebuilt the engine, installed a new clutch, brakes, suspension; exhaust etc, in 2009; he drove a few times, stored it and then he unfortunately passed away in 2018. Odometer says 133,000 mi; title say 156,000mi. Assuming it has a different Speedo or Cluster. I do not have any receipts for work done; however upon inspection you can see many new parts and when driving everything seems as was stated.
The car has not been registered in California since 2009; but I do have the original California clean title still in the previous owners name.
The Suzuki drives great, starts right up (well, not fuel injected so after getting warmed up), shifts very well and stops great. no oil leaks; no problems whatsoever. I just installed a new JVC stereo with Bluetooth and new speakers in front. Comes with new Bestop Fabric full top and OEM carpet, door handles etc.
I purchased because I had purchased a new one in 1988, owned for 3 years and sold. I always wanted another and searched for an original condition; unmolested, West Coast car. I collect cars that I owned or wanted to own when I was younger and don"t normally sell my cars. I recently purchased a Fire Station from a City and remodeled as a home and went significantly over budget. Selling this really nice example of a Suzuki Samurai to help fill back up my depleted bank account. .
If Suzuki is sold in California; there will be an additional fee of $600 as the previous owner did not place on Non-operation and there are back fees from the State of CA. I believe it can be argued with DMV since it has been nearly 10 years since registered but don"t want to make any promises I may not be able to keep.
You wont be disappointed, great vehicle at a low price that can be driven in current condition with no foreseen maintenance or needs.
I am describing this car to the best of my ability; there are no warranties implied or suggested. The buyer has read in its entirety the posting and has the rights to inspect on their own or have the vehicle inspected by a independent party.
