Vehicle description
Up for sale is a rare Mini Cooper John Cooper Works GP, 1 of 415 to hit the States (1 of 2000 In the world). The GP is assembled in Italy unlike the standard Minis of this generation.
I know the entire history of the car. The original owner was very detailed and kept all the records including a word document which I kept going.
It"s mostly original. Does have larger Wilwood front and rear brakes. Miltek header back exhaust. Newer Bilstein struts and Swift springs. There are various other quality suspension bits. Several other small add-ons (Cabrio Braces, plugs and ignition, pulleys, etc.)
There are several smaller rock chips on the front hood and bumper. A couple of rock chips on the windshield. The rear fender arches have signs of rubbing due to running larger tires.
There is zero rust, it’s been a Southern California car from new to June 2017.
The GP will be sold with the original wheels and new tires. The pictured JCW wheels will not come with the vehicle. It will also come with all the manuals and original sticker as well as the JCW certificate. I have quite a few other parts that will come with the Mini.
I"ve been a Mini enthusiast for quite a few years. I have owned over a dozen Minis, mostly R53s. I"m only saying this to show what kind of treatment the GP had.
Within the last 3k miles it"s received lots of preventive maintenance: coolant temperature sensor, thermostat, coolant flush, oxygen sensors, CAT (welded-in), single mass flywheel clutch kit, various gaskets, all fluids, coolant, timing chain tensioner, oil pan gasket, front control arm bushings, etc.
I have about 90% of all the records in one form or another.
