Vehicle Details 2005 Lotus Elise 111R Touring package (power windows), 26k miles, reconstruct title (thus the low price), has been "reconstructed" due to clam damage, which is very common with Lotus Elise cars, since insurance companies often consider clam damage too expensive to repair; Fiberglass front and rear clam shell is removable and relatively easy to repair, since it is not a structural part of the car. The structural elements are a bonded aluminum extrusion, which is very light and stiff. Car weight is only 2000 lbs; allowing 189 whp engine acceleration of 0-60 in 4.9 sec, but that really does not capture the very quick light feel of the car. Handling is second to none, and creature comforts are virtually non-existent, making this car very special. Special details of this Lotus Elise:Dual front oil coolers, new Gregs Race Parts (GRP) XXR530 wheels (16x8 and 17x8.25 staggered), new Continental Extreme Contact 225/45 ZR17 and 195/50 ZR16 tires, Titanium wheel studs, Nitron Shocks, GRP carbon fiber side scoops, GRP rear panel delete (shows off exhaust and provides better cooling), GRP LED tail lights, Front directional indicator delete, which gives the front a very clean look, in comparison to stock; directional indicators are now GRP halo LED rings around the high-beams (top set of lights), main lights (bottom) are very bright in comparison to stock lights. Custom stereo system (Alpine amp, Kenwood deck) with custom subwoofer, Sector 111 Cargo boot, EBC Red stuff front brake pads (fairly new), front and rear tow hooks, and interior is very clean. Hard-top only, no soft top. Engine Oil has been Amsoil 5-40. What's less than perfect:AC has been removed, saving about 50 lbs. According to most owners, the stock AC is fairly ineffective, cooling the car only a few degrees down from ambient temperature.Windshield has a crack that is not fixable, requiring a new windshield; please see pictures that highlight thisFront clam has some damage at the bottom, due to error in judgement when parking recently, please see detailed pictures.
