For sale rare 1979 Mercedes 450 SLC 5.0 This car is different then regular SLC, it features aluminum hood, doors, trunk lid as well as rear spoiler. Built for FIA homologation for the rally effort . 450 SLC 5.0 is a lightweight performance version. Powered by an all-aluminum 5.0 V8 pumping 240 horsepower. These were very limited productions cars as 1636 450 SL 5.0 were produced , along with 1133 500 SLC"s. These automobiles won Ivory Coast Rally in 1979 and 1980. This particular example is finished in typical Mercedes color, called Astral Silver ( 735 ) over Anthracite Velour. It spent most of its life in Texas and Alabama and is very solid.
