Volkswagen Jetta MKV Wolfsburg Edition - Silver 6 spdManual - Eng. 2.0L TURBO SOHC CODE BPY (FSI) I hate to sell this car but can"t afford estimated repairsright now. Would be good for a mechanic or parts car. History This car is located in Micanopy, FL and a couple months agoit rained for nearly a month straight. One day while trying to keep my pregnantwife from getting muddy and putting groceries in the house, I was attempting todrive to front door. The car got stuck in the mud b/c some electricians had duga trench for a power line repair and did not back fill and pack the trench. Itried to rock the car out, and eventually gave up. I pulled the car out with mytractor. It drove fine up until about 60 mph. I thought it was just dried mudaffecting it and pressure washed it, but next time I drove, had same issue.Then one night going down the highway, the EPC light came on and I lost allengine power. After towing the car home and doing some investigating, I foundthat the timing belt was shredded. Anybody who knows these cars knows they areinterference engines and typically this failure results in engine damage, whichis all the worse b/c the head had literally just been replaced when I bought it(130k), along with the turbo, water pump, timing belt and serpentine belt, anda few other things. So that"s why the car is listed so cheap. I"m going to list all known issues below by category. Mechanical: -Timing belt failure caused possible valve damage, timingbelt and water pump have been replaced, but engine turns with no start andseemingly no compression; compression has not been tested -New: Timing Belt, water pump, bearings, serpentine belt. -Head was replaced at 130k along with turbo, water pump,starter. TB failure most likely damaged new head though. Cosmetics: -Dent on driver side under car, looks like wrong jackplacement, few scratches and paint rubbing by DS rear tire -Dent on PS side under passenger door, again looks likewrong jack placement, few dings from parking lot door impacts all minor Electronics -PS window does not work, motor is moving, think the guideis broken, have the replacement part will go with car Interior: -All seats are in great shape, no tears, no cracks, lookalmost new other than few dirty spots -Doors: RR door vinyl is falling off, needs to be glued,very typical for these cars -Headliner needs replaced -Small cracking around radio/ventplastic Please see all photos and contact me if you have anyother questions.
