The Macan Turbo with Performance Package was offered in the 2017 and 2018 model years only. Even though the Macan has become Porsche’s top-selling model since it was introduced in 2015, this particular model variant is relatively rare. Porsche Cars North America (the wholly-owned subsidiary that is the exclusive importer of Porsches to the U.S.) won"t disclose sales by model version, but I suspect only a couple of hundred of these were sold in the U.S. As Car and Driver wrote in an August 17, 2017 review, what sets this range-topping model apart from a regular Macan Turbo is “more of everything”, calling it “a Turbo S in all but name”. It has more horse power, more torque, lower ride height, larger brakes, higher top speed, better lateral grip and shorter braking distance from 70 mph than the standard Macan Turbo. The fact that it can go from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds (according to C&D’s instrument test) means that it is nearly as fast as (3.6 seconds to 60 according to C&D) as the 911 Carrera S of the same model year. It is insanely fast for a 4,400-pound vehicle that has 4 doors and 5 seats, not to mention the everyday utility of 53 cubic feet of storage with the rear seats down. I factory ordered this car not long after the model was announced in late 2016, and took delivery in June, 2017 (see photo of the original sticker that shows the exact options selected). I just crossed over 20,000 miles; the car has only been hand washed by the same detail shop the local Porsche dealer uses for new car prep, and of course the service is up to date, done by the same local dealer. The only blemish is 2 small scratches on the right front wheel that you’d have to look very hard to find. It is otherwise immaculate. Given the rare model, performance, low mileage and near perfect condition, a dealer would offer this car at retail for at least $75K and probably more. This is a chance to own a car that is special among Porsche SUVs.
