Vehicle description
2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS500 500C with Sports package, and low miles!
The car runs and drives great. It currently has around 88k miles, but it will likely go to 89k by the time its sold, as I still drive it over the weekends.
I have done the following in the past 6 months:
- Replaced ignition coils ($400) - Replaced both rear suspension airbags ($1800) (one deflated, and was told that I need to replace both, so I did) - Replaced the rear SAM unit ($1200) (A mobile "mechanic" shorted the rear SAM while working on it, so I had to have it replaced)
- Replaced front and rear brakes (can"t remember the price, believe it was around $600)
- Had alignment done
In the last 2 years I have also replaced the tires ($1200) (front and rear, they are a bit expensive as its using the AMG wheels and the rear tires are super fat, hence also more expensive)
- Replaced the fuel tank, as it was giving me issues, and I was advised that a new one is required ($700) - Replaced the aux battery and the main battery ($300)
- And a lot more that I can not remember at the moment.
Now here is a little about the car:
I got the car from an auction 6-7 years ago. The car was stolen and recovered, so the VIN says that the title is salvage. However the title itself has no indication of that, it is basically a clear title. The car passed inspection and a title was issued. Since it was a stolen vehicle - they issued a new VIN number, hence why the title itself has no mention of the car being rebuilt or salvage.
Here a few of the extras that the car has:
- Ventilated and Heated front seats
- AC controls for the back seats
- Moonroof / Sunroof
- AMG muffler tips
- Option to lift the car up a bit (so it feels more like a regular car), or to lower the car (so it feels more sporty)
- Navigation with latest DVD, already installed in the trunk.
- The car doesn"t have bluetooth, so I added a little adapter, which does music and voice. It is connected to the AUX port in the glovebox.
- AUX port in the glovebox, in case you don"t want to deal with bluetooth and wires.
- CD Player (I know nobody uses those, but its there anyways) - everything else included with the base model.
The car is in a great shape, runs and drives great. The reason why it is being sold is because our family is growing, and we had to get ourselves an SUV. So according to my wife - the bachelor car needs to go.
Now a few things that you need to know about the car:
- As listed in one of the pictures - the shine on the rear beams is fading. I was told that a higher end detail would take care of that. It doesn"t bother me, as you can only see it if you are right next to it, so I haven"t done that.
- The car does have a few scratches and dents, due to it being my daily driver. That, again, would be easily resolved with a high end detail.
- There is a SRS light on, which pops up each time you start the car. I haven"t really bothered to check as to how to fix it, as it doesn"t bother me at all. If you want to - I am sure a Benz dealership will be more than happy to look into it. I once paid $180 for them to troubleshoot that, and they basically told me that "the light is on". Obviously I knew that, and this information did very little to help diagnose the issue. So I smiled and left.
As you can see - the car has been very well maintained, and I hate to see it go, however - happy wife = happy life. So my loss is definitely your gain.
As for the sale itself:
- There is a $1000 non-refundable deposit, which must be paid within 48hrs of the auction end. - The rest of the payment (minus the $1000 deposit) must be done within 7 days of auction end, via Money Order or Cash. Do note that these transactions will be done in my bank, and the title and bill of sale will be signed after the bank confirms that the funds are in my account (or that the cash is real). This is done for both mine and your safety.
- The car comes with absolutely no warranty, and no refunds/returns.
Let me know if you have any questions regarding this listing!
Thank you and happy bidding!
