Lotus23B. I purchased this car in 1980 in UK. It was crashed and in bad condition. I purchased the new frame from Arch Motors and collected all the right parts until we completed the restoration last year. It is a complete restored to as new condition. It is ready for museum or race track. In the time I purchased the car, we never had a concern about numbers, so I lost the numbers. Our concern was whether car pass scrutineers as original car , and performance on the track. Gearbox:- Hewland Mark 4 . All original components, renewed where necessary Engine:- Lotus Ford twin cam , all steel with new Omega pistons. Beam steel rods , new. Freshly restored to highest standard of reliability and performance. In range 185 hp. Carbs are twin 45 dcoe Wheels : Lotus wobbly –web brakes: Girling calipers and discs. Suspension: front, double wishbone with coil over shocks. Rear, top link with reversed lower wishbone. Wheels: Lotus wobbly web Current owner purchased car in Europe in 1980 from Mr David Jemmet. Car had been raced and mildly crashed in the UK in the late 60s. Car has been in storage since being returned to US in 1983. In 2012 a complete restoration was started, which has resulted in the car being in superb “as new” condition. All parts are original and are in “as-new” condition
