I am the ORIGINAL AND SOLE OWNER of this 1988 4Runner SR5. This 4Runner is FULLY LOADED with every convenience option that was available. The WHITE EXTERIOR / GRAY INTERIOR color combo was and still is the most popular of the 88 4Runners. I purchased this 4Runner in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA where it has been gently driven on its streets for all of its life and has no major rust issues.
This classic 4Runner has added value! Because it has very low miles on its 3.0-L OHV 12V V6 engine. Due to the COMPLETE ENGINE REBUILD via "head gasket recall" in 1994 at 73,186 miles. That"s only about 101,720 MILES ON THE ENGINE . This 4Runner is remarkably powerful, it runs great, and it"s a blast to drive. 4WD CAN BE ENGAGED WHILE DRIVING - no need to step outside the truck. T he carpet and soft cloth seats are in excellent condition. It smells nice and clean inside. No wet doggies smoking in this truck.☺ Other parts that have been replaced or repaired include the radiator, clutch and front window. All recommended maintenance has been diligently performed through the years and ALL REPAIR & MAINTENANCE RECORDS KEPT in order.

New Tires Driver"s and Passenger"s Side Window Switches (windows only go up/down intermittently) New Remote Control for Keyless Door Locks (alarm wiring disconnected, remote control damaged) Driver-Side Door Lock (damaged, key does not open lock) Console/Armrest Door (top cover worn, needs replacement ) Window Tint (peeling) Dashboard Cracks (needs repair or molded dash cap cover installed ) Heater/AC Fan Control (needs repair, blows only on high setting, low/medium setting malfunctioning)
New Heater/AC Dash Face Plate (cracked, needs replacement ) Rear Power Window Assembly (needs adjustment, window rolls up and down, but catching on something, not smooth) Minor Ding in Body and Front Bumper Tail Pipe (damaged at end) Exterior Paint (peeling, oxidizing) A popular feature on this 4Runner is that the HARD TOP IS REMOVABLE . It can be stored and replaced with a more versatile fabric top so the fabric top can be removed and stored inside the truck when traveling. Take a look at the SOFT TOPPER .
