Vehicle description
Vehicle Details Relisting due to non payment. 1979 Lincoln Continental Collectors Series. Fresh oil change, new oil filter, fuel filter, battery, and electric fuel pump. The Lincoln was not driven for many years and just started driving it through the neighborhood. Car starts, runs, drives, and stops well, brakes are a little soft. There is an engine noise/know when you rev the engine, not sure if it is in the engine or the exhaust. The tire tread is very good on all tires. The body is in good shape for the age, paint has scratches and small dents, but no major damage. The drivers door sags a little, lift a little to close it, maybe hinge adjustment all other doors close fine. The vinyl top was removed and had amateur body and paint done. One trunk hinge is broken, the trunk locks but as you can see from the pictures that the front is not flat, a used replacement trunk hinge is ordered and will be included in the sale, see receipt. The trunk has a small hole from the trunk not closing and the rear passenger floorboard is rusted, the window was left partially open, and water settled on the floor. The remainder of the undercarriage looks solid, see pictures. The windows work intermittently, I think it is matter of cleaning or using them due to the car sitting for so long. The drivers front vent window is missing. You can hear the sunroof motor, but it does not open. The seats are very soft and in pretty good shape, the top of the rear seats are torn, I would guess from the sun. The passenger power seat works fine, but the drives doesn’t, but the switches are all there, maybe unhooked? The dash and door panels are very nice, no cracks and the color is nice. The headliner is also in very nice shape. The radio is also intermittent. The AC belt is off, I assume that the ac is not working or needs to be serviced. The odometer shows 3008, but in the trunk was another odometer that shows 53K, not sure of the actual millage. Clear title and included in the sale are the owner’s manual, a few 8 track tapes, the original build sheet, and the old odometer. Please see and drive the car in person to assess its condition and feel free to contact me if any additional information or photos are needed. Images Download the Motors app
