Selling my GX 470. Had it for about a year. was going to slowly make it an overland piece by piece but plans changed. I love it but I need space. Full synth oil change a few days ago. Timing belt kit done 2 weeks ago. there was no record of it being done, took a look at it and decided to have it done. rear air bags changed, had slow leak every 4 days if it sat it would go a little lower on one side.
the sale is with original rims not the 4runner rims in some of the pics. comes with michelins and runs smooth. I cruise at 80-90 with no worries. been up to 100 a few times no issues as well. the steering wheel turns full u turns with no suspension noise. Cold AC, everything works, maintenance light is on on dashboard indicating it is due for maintenance check up bla bla bla at 140,000m. rear 5 windows are tinted darker by Arts tint Melbourne. Tint strip on windshield to below mirror. Texas/Arizona car all its life till Florida last year. chassis is rust free and strong.car is clay barred and smooth. Interior is very clean. Have not cleaned or conditioned the leather to make the slight wrinkles cleaner on 2 of the edges of the seat. I have the third row seats as well in storage as I prefer the space in the back for Costco runs, The car smells great. No fouls smells. no musty smells etc. some of the cons or next items on the hitlist: the sunroof rods rattle occasionally. the cables need to be tightened. I believe the inside window trim at the headliner level need to be removed to access the tightening screw. Every so often I open and close the sunroof and it goes away for a while. Even when it rattling slightly cant hear it over the radio so was no biggie for me. It also has the notorious slight exh manifold leak that you can hear at startup. non performance affecting if you know this vehicle. Cant hear it when you are driving. the headlights are pretty clear after being treated by my detail guy but every 2 months they return to slightly hazy as most headlight do. The center console I don"t know what happened there. It was like that when i bought it. I have been searching for the darker wood panel trim to replace on ebay but haven"t found it yet. I was also thinking about changing the trim to a black or dark grey trim all around. There is a seller on forums selling a Faux black wood center console trim and they go for about 60 bucks i think. Anyway up to the next buyer which way they want to go. Likewise the wood trim around the sides of the radio has slightly separated at the top from its back board and looks like it needs a touch of glue to re secure it down. the tips lay under the dash carpet so I don"t see it anyway. The dash is crack free. There is clear coat peel on the rear bumper. I think the rear bumper was resprayed at sometime in the past. Im sure I have missed some positives. I listed most everything I can think is a negative. Its a 2008 so its not a brand new car. Has some battle scars but it is an awesome vehicle. Hate to see it go. runs smooth and strong.
