We have for sale a Defender 90 Soft Top Truck that has been gently restored and customized. This beautiful example of the British classic comes with the original 300 Tdi engine. The 300 Tdi is the most robust and reliable engine that Land Rover manufactured and the most sought after by collectors and off-road enthusiasts.
The vehicle is painted in the rare, "Shire Blue" we have deliberately left her in a delicately patinated state, which will allow the new owner choose between the enjoyment of a vehicle that shows some battle scars, or a simple touch up to return her to showroom quality condition.
The chassis is rust free and structurally sound with new, professionally installed outriggers, and has been cleaned and a stone chip protectant has been applied as added protection.
The soft top is brand new and can be enjoyed in a number of ways. You can leave it down as a normal car, roll up the sides and back for hot days, and if you want to be really adventurous, you can entirely remove the canvas!
We have installed new seats with full harness seat belts. We decided to do this because we want the new owner to feel completely safe if they decide to remove the soft top. The harness holds you firmly in the seat, so if you do take her off road you will feel completely secure.
In the rear section we have installed new bench seats with seat belts, and new rubber matting so any sand or mud will just wash right out.
New tires have also been added to give the vehicle more grip on and off-road, and to give it a more imposing stance.
The vehicle also comes with a new MOT; while the US does not require this, it is a great benchmark for any buyer as it gives them peace of mind that the vehicle has been independently checked for any defects by an impartial 3rd party mechanic.
