For your consideration is my 1965 Jeep Universal. Please read as there are important considerations buyer needs to make.
Am gauging interest and considering sale in order to knock out some student loans as this sits most of its life. This in no way is a distress sale.
Purchased this jeep on ebay from Georgia. Over the last 10 years ive worked to bring the jeep back and have enjoyed driving it around town, in parades, car shows and jeep events.
Special option 4 speed Dana 18 twin stick transfer case 4 cylinder Hurricane engine. TOP SPEED 45MPH
Has a couple light leaks. No power steering No power brakes No ac No radio
Most of the big and little things have been repaired, replaced or corrected with proper parts.
The following is a list of repairs and restorations made-
New windshield frame, glass, wipers Led tails Brake master and wheel cylinders Clutch Oil pan seal Valve cover seal Head gasket Transfer case rear main seal Differential cover gaskets front and rear New fan belt New water pump- have spare pump New solex carb- have original New radiator and hoses New solid state distributor New speedo and cable Bestop bikini top Professional seat upholstery Gas pedal and linkage Complete exhaust system replacement Steering knuckle seals Front and rear wheel bearings and seals
Have Meyers steel half cab and full doors. Need restoration.
Can go on but you can see for yourself. Jeep isn"t perfect but with a little more work, you can make her yours In time for spring driving.
Currently jeep is not drivable as steering is disassembled- im waiting on a hydraulic press on order as I started rebuilding the steering bell crank. Should be in by weekend in which I will resume the job. Ill update when complete.
Also ive initially replaced all tires but as of today are showing signs of dry rot.
In conclusion jeep has lived under my homes carport all its life away from direct sun and weather. Heres your chance to own a solid piece of history.
