1997 Jaguar XK8 convertible. Beautiful gold sand exterior over champagne leather interior. Only 122,835 miles and same owner since 2000. Fully loaded- chrome wheels, Harmon Kardon sound system with 6 disc CD player in trunk, full power, and more. Overall good body, great interior, nice top and headliner. Runs and drives well, and clean history- no accidents. Just received a rebuilt engine (with less than 2000 miles) but it has a very light ticking noise as it runs- does not seem serious but needs to be looked at (see video of engine running). Owner did not want invest any more money in the car. Has a clean clear California title, on non-op status, so no back registration fees or penalties. The car comes with 2 original Jaguar keys, 2 original remotes, and the full owner"s manual set. Selling as a nice project for someone to tinker with.

Body is nice overall and paint mostly good and fair in a few areas- the worst area is on left rear quarter panel around gas filler. . There is a small scraped area down low behind right rear wheel, a small dent in the top rear edge of trunk lid, and some paint is missing on one small area of the very front of front bumper. Tires all have 80+% tread, and good chrome on the wheels with only one wheel showing minor peeling. Top is nice with no holes or wear and very good headliner. Leather seats are all very good with only minor wear; beautiful dash with no cracks in the top and nice wood. Door panels and other interior panels also nice All power systems work- power mirrors, windows, seats, and locks, top goes up and down, wipers and lights, sound system including CD changer, etc.,. The following faults were noticed- electric antenna motor runs but the mast does not go up and down, AC does not get very cold, and the ABS brake light comes on occasionally (most likely a glitch as the car has not been driven regularly- should go away with use).
The car starts right up, drives well, shifts properly, steers straight and stops straight.
The original engine was replaced with a rebuilt unit approx 2000 miles ago, but it has a light ticking sound when running. Does not appear to be serious but should be checked out. Here is a video of the engine starting and running- see what you think:

If final payment is not received within 1 week after the deposit is received, the deposit will be lost and the car relisted for sale.
