Vehicle description

THIS IS A RUST FREE, BABIED, EXAMPLE OF THE WONDERFUL 1997 FJ80 LAND CRUISER. I purchased this last year with the intent of never selling it. My health dictates otherwise. It has had three owners since new. When I bought it we had the windshield, hood props, head gasket with all the accompanying gaskets and bolts, radiator (3 core full aluminum), alternator, starter (Lifetime warranty-Bosch) hoses, brakes, fluids including brake fluid, wiper blades, battery, brakes, frt rotors, keyless remotes, all bulbs upgraded to leds, including hi-out put headlamps, plus flasher, all five tires replaced, Michelins. We also added a "Toguard" full size rear view camera/mirror. The heater cores and block have been extensively flushed. The rear heater was not hooked up, honestly it can get so hot that the far back passengers open the windows.I will include the fittings and valve if you feel its needed. Vapor canister has been replaced.By the way, when we purchased this, the rear seats were in the original bags, these were the wayback seats. An additional cooling fan was added-electric, I do not think it really needed it but fell victim to a sales pitch. All trim panels were removed and latch lock assemblies were lubricated, as well as the window mechanisms. Weather tech mats front and rear also added. Running boards were in poor shape, the originals removed and aluminum ones refitted using the oem Toyota rubber coverings. I looked at dozens of these and this is the nicest by far.Carpet and headliner nice, sunroof which works with all functions. Have all owners books. Faults: driver and passenger seat have wear on seat edge, drivers seat functions completely, passenger seat moves back and forward, base does not tilt but back reclines. It has vexed me and the repair shop with the floating "P401" fault code. This is an EGR fault code common to the 4.5 dual overhead cam engine in Toyota"s. It will come on, the trip to the shop-check it out -runs fine, turn off light and it stays off and returns when it feels like it-three times in last year. Shop believes its my fault but i do not know how. Three owners with me being the third. By the way, all shocks and including the steering stabilizer were replaced with rancho 5000s. It will drip a dime sized spot of oil out of the rear main seal, if it sits for a week. Also handbrake is sticky and should be serviced-it has sat a lot so that doesn"t help. It is sold as is where is. This vehicle sold last auction but buyer wanted to pay with things not accepted by Ebay, nor me. A waste of time for me. Also, I have many more pics but mail limits me to only five per message. I am happy to send pics out to you, but last auction i had 104 messages to answer. You may have noticed I did something I donot do, put in a buy it now. I did this for this reason, last auction i have near 40 requests to buy it now. Now, if you are serious, you can. Thank you all for your interest.
