Up for auction is a 1974 Volkswagen Thing 181. Owned by the same family for over 20 years. Pretty low miles on this one at 74,000. A lot of these miles were accumulated while being towed back and forth from Indiana and Florida and Indiana and Arizona. Rarely driven in the last 4 years. The engine runs and sounds great. The transmission shifts fine and the clutch is strong. The body and floors are very solid. The paint is pretty good but not perfect. The top and side curtains are in excellent shape. The seats are also in great shape. The glass is good. It has 5 new tires. New Coco mats from “The Thing Shop”. Everything seems to be in good working order. It has a rollbar and push bar if wanted.
