Packing a punch is what the Honda Beat does best. Sharing it"s signature mid-ship, rear drive layout, with its bigger brother the NSX the KEI debuted at the beginning of the 1990"s to much fanfare. Historically noted as the final model personally signed off on by the company"s founder, Sochiro Honda, this little mid engine hardtop convertible is an absolute blast to drive! Its high revving 656cc engine, lightweight construction, and desirable driving dynamics make this the perfect Japanese classic. The Honda Beat is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive roadster, that began production in 1991. The concept originated from famed designer Pininfarina. The original factory paint is in very good shape, aside from some normal blemishes and still shines nicely. A rare exterior item to note is the hardtop - MUGEN! MUGEN hardtop adds extra usability for inclement weather and gives the occupants a touch more headroom. Unlike less expensive hardtop options, the interior is lined and finished, with the MUGEN stamping riveted to the rear glass. The dash and door panels are in nice shape with no cracks or bubbles. The factory Gathers audio is all there. A 656cc E07A I3 engine, with 78K verified KILOMETRES OR 48,000 ORIGINAL MILES, provides power to the rear wheels via a 5 speed manual transmission. Shifts are direct and seamless, and this little motor loves to rev. With about sixty-odd horsepower, the Beat keeps you off the cops radar, whether you"re heavy in the throttle or not. Courtesy of a high flow muffler, the zingy three cylinder belts out some surprisingly nice sounds for such a small motor. The best driving characteristic of the Beat is the handling. It"s low overhangs, short wheel base, and center-driving position gives an exceptionally balanced feel. I imported this BEAT about 10 years ago directly from Japan and drove it for 2 SUMMERS. Then I put it away in indoor storage and it was there for the past 8 years and now I decided to find a good home for it. The car is currently DOES NOT START. It was stored for 8 years inside my dry, cement floor barn.
I am giving it away for $ 6,900.00 CANADIAN DOLLARS OR BEST OFFER and I would entertain an interesting trade for a classic car European or Japanese, especially old Mercedes. It comes with the following:
clean Ontario ownership used vehicle package original set of wheels/tires Honda Beat OEM car cover 2 brand new racing high back bucket seats original spare wheel/tire new shift knob etc.
I can deliver for free to anywhere in Ontario as long as the car is paid for in advance of delivery.
ALSO THIS BEAT IS 100% LEGAL IN THE USA AND I CAN ARRANGE DELIVERY TO YOUR DOOR AT YOUR EXPENSE.
