You are looking at something rare: an honest 1970 GTO that does not have Judge decals, aftermarket wheels or aftermarket speed parts. This GTO is presented just as John DeLorean designed it. I searched for years to find a 1970 4-speed GTO that was this way, and finally found this one. I truly intended to keep this car forever, but another GTO came up on the radar, one that is a once-in-a-lifetime car, and I bought it. Sadly, this one has to go to make room.
This is a real 1970 242 GTO. I"ll acknowledge up front that this is not some insanely priced trailer queen. This is a great looking car that you can enjoy driving without worrying if you might get bug splatter on your header panel. The paint has great shine and overall it really looks good, but there are a few blemishes here and there and a few places that have been touched up. The floors and trunk are in excellent condition and the undercarriage shows very well. The odometer shows 1849 miles, but true mileage is unknown.
The interior looks very nice and features the rare option of a passenger reclining seat. The dash is in very good shape except for a crack on the driver side by the windshield that has been repaired. Notice the switch on the dash for the rare rear window defogger. I"m 6"5" and had brackets made to slide the seats back further. The OEM radio resides in the dash.
This car drives out very well. The transmission shifts properly and it tracks straight and true. The brakes work perfectly. The body overall is tight and solid with minimal squeaks and rattles. The glass is all good with no stars or cracks.
