Here is your chance to bid on a Super Rare Limited Edition CTS V-TXi model. The reserve is set very low so this car will be sold to the highest bidder. The car is also available For Sale Locally so the auction may be ended early unless the Reserve is hit then I will guarantee to let the auction run its course.
These cars were originally marketed by the Vogue Tire company and sold at a very limited number of Cadillac Dealerships. The V-TXi package came at a cost of around $7,500-$10,000 (depending on options) on top of the original sticker price which for car was $38,410 (original window sticker is in the photos) plus the V-TXi package made this car cost over $45k when it was new. Additional info on these special cars can be found by doing a simple google search.
I bought this car out of Florida around 2014 with 50k original miles. This car runs well but it does have some mechanical and cosmetic cosmetic flaws throughout the interior and exterior. I will do my best to provide you with as much info as possible regarding the condition of this car. You are more than welcome to inspect the car in person just send me a message and we can set up a time for your personal viewing. I do know this car was rear ended by a teen on their cell phone with me driving but the damage was basically minor and only required the replacement of the rear bumper cover and RR taillight assembly. I do have photos of the damage if someone would like to see them. Just send me an ebay message.
This car runs very well for its age and mileage, all the lights and power accessories work fine and even the AC blows ice cold but it does have a few issues.
Notable Mechanical Issues:
1. The check engine light comes on and goes off at its convenience but the car runs fine even when the check engine light is on.
2. Also there is a small glitch in the theft deterrent system, as when you first start the car up you need to use the key and push button which is discreetly placed below the steering column. Once you start the car the first time the car will then restart fine just using the key until the time you let the car sit for a awhile. 3. The car needs tires as 3 are completely worn out and the 1 new one leaks.
Notable Exterior Issues:
1. The car has numerous small dings, chips, and scratches all over as expected with a car with 136k miles. The paint has bubbled on the hood and is peeling a little on the trunk lid but I do not think it is rust since the panels are made of aluminum. I have posted photos of these areas. The car looks good from 20 feet but up close is another story.
2. All 4 wheels have significant corrosion as shown in the photo of this auction. These are Vogue 18" wheels, the chrome is peeling from the chemicals used on the road in New England but the underneath of the car is super clean and NEARLY CORROSION FREE. Please note: I do have a super nice set of 18" wheels that I took off a 2016 18" CTS with only 1,800 miles on them and I will include these wheels FREE of CHARGE with the sale if someone should hit the Buy it Now button.
Notable Interior Issues:
1. The carpets were already stained from soil and wine when I bought this car. I had purchased replacement set of very nice set of used OEM carpets. but never got around to installing them. They are a shade gray darker than the ones currently in the car but they are in nice condition. A photo of this carpet set is in the photos.
2. The leather seats do show some wear but no rips or tears.
3. Some of the ac vents have issues with the black coating on them but they work fine.
4. There are a few cracks in the plastic trim on the drivers seat and one in the plastic panel in the top of the dash. This is common in this vintage CTS"s as all three cars I have owned have had this issue.
