GORGEOUS 2003 LEXUS SC430 HARDTOP CONVERTIBLE HIGHLIGHTS Precision 4.3L V8 Highly desirable Black/Black Interior/Exterior – Very Sleek! Amazing Retracting Aluminum Hardtop 5-Speed Automatic J.D. Power and Associates Award as highest ranked Premium Auromobile (2004 & 2005). LOCATION: Tucker, GA (20 Miles Northeast of Atlanta) INTERESTING BACKGROUND: Lexus stunned the automotive world when they debuted the SC430 at the New York Auto Show. For inspiration, designers of the car traveled to swanky Cote d’Azur for luxury inspiration in fashion and architecture. The result, was the SC430’s character lines being similar to the region"s yachts! OPERATIONAL REPORT: This car feels like it was carved from granite…very solid feeling and obviously beautifully engineered. The retractable top operated smoothly and with precision. Horn, exterior lights, power windows, radio, wipers, washers, and gauges all worked. The lighter would not “stay in” and would not work, and the ashtray insert is missing. The trunk lid must be held up (needs new gas struts). COMPLETE CARFAX … is shown in the last images at right. CARFAX has determined that the car has a retail value of $8610…and we set the reserve considerably lower for lively bidding and quick sale. You will note that it was in an accident in May of 2013. In our opinion, it was expertly repaired and we saw no remaining evidence of the mishap. PLEASE VIEW ALL THE IMAGES …We have aimed the camera everywhere that a discerning buyer would look. This is a very sharp appearing car, but please keep in mind that it is 13 years old and has traveled almost 135,000 miles (though Lexus cars are famous for often running very well for much more than double that mileage). There are quite a few paint touch-ups such as those we show in a separate image set at right. Please be sure to look at ALL pictures to get an accurate impression of the car. It’s very nice…but understandably no longer new-appearing in all respects. INVESTMENT POTENTIAL …though still “a used car”, it appears that nothing quite like the SC430 is being made or planned by Lexus. So this car has all the makings of an emerging modern-day classic that collectors are just beginning to appreciate. It is quite possible that this car will hold its value much better than other luxury cars of its era and may eventually begin an ascent on the coveted appreciation curve of a collectible/classic car.
