NO RESERVE. .NO RESERVE. .NO RESERVE!
One of the coolest Square Body Suburbans out there! I’ve never seen one like it! I got it out of sunny, dry Nevada. In the early 90’s it was built as a “showtruck” loaded with “Sight and Sound” electronics by a Stereo Company. Some low life stole it from them and stripped the electronics out of it. It was later “recovered”, thus it has a “branded” “rebuilt-total loss” title. The truck was lowered giving it the “California Rake” look. The body has been primed and then had the “wood grain” effect added using “Polyurethane Stain”. Drip moldings above the doors were shaved off. Custom Cowl Air Vent (where the wipers are). The roof was sprayed white satin, both for the look and to help keep it cooler inside. Looks good from 5 feet away. Up close you can tell it was a rattle can job.Glass is all good. Power windows work, although the rear door windows only work from the door switches. “Ghost Grill” with all lighting behind it. Dash is from a 1963 Chevy Truck with (correct looking) electric gauges that all work. The speedometer works however the odometer does not. So, true mileage unknown (but who cares on a vehicle like this?) Pioneer Stereo (with remote) works good. AC blows cold and the Rear AC Unit fan works but there is no cold air. The lines are connected under the hood but it seems like the Freon doesn’t get to the rear unit. Clogged line maybe? I don’t worry about it as the truck stays cool inside, even on our 100 degree+ days here in SW FL. Seats, carpet, door panels and headliner appear original. They are about what you would expect for a 30+ year old vehicle. Dirty but functional as they are. Some of the chrome is peeling off the front bumper (pictured) but still looks very presentable. Floors, rockers, bottoms of the doors are all rust free. The only issue (pictured) is on the tailgate, which seems to be a common weak spot on these trucks as I’ve seen several with minor rust in the same area. Appears to be the original TBI 350 engine. Starts and runs good, drives good. Electric fan on the radiator keep it running cool in any traffic/heat conditions. Also has a “gear drive” replacement for the timing chain. Sounds cool! Smokes a little on startup after sitting overnight. I’m thinking hardened valve seals. Doesn’t bother me. I’d jump in and drive anywhere. This is not a flawless show truck (any longer!). It’s over 30 years old and it has been driven. That said, (and humbly I say this) I’ve owned over 50 Classic Cars in my lifetime (including 6 Squarebody Suburbans). This truck gets more looks and “thumbs up” than any other classic I’ve owned! Everybody loves this truck! You will too! Fly in to RSW and drive it home or I"ll be glad to assist your shipper. Time for me to move on. I have too many cars again. I have it priced it to sell locally at $8950 so I do reserve the right to end this auction early if needed.
Scammers, don’t bother. I’m an old man and I’ve been tried by some of the best and I survived. I don’t need any help selling, thank you. I’ve listed it NO RESERVE! IT"S GONNA SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!. Bid with confidence. Bid to win! Check my feedback. I’ve been a proud member of the Community since 1999. No “gypo games” played here! Thanks, Kane Keywords;ratrod. Rat rod, classic, custom, suburban, square body, hot rod, woody wagon, square body
