Vehicle description
Ford Other. 1926 Ford T-Bucket Roadster Pickup.
Up for auction is a 1926 T-Roadster Pickup that was built in early 70"s. I have an clear Title. It is all original Ford steel except for the fiberglass fenders, also include are excellent steel fenders that are rust and dent free, the front I believe are NOS and never bolted on a car, along with a excellent factory hood and perfect side aprons. These all came from a private collector that I purchased for this truck. Almost no rust present except for a few bubbles on the lower cowl and left cab visible. Steel bed and tail gate are excellent the wood floor of the bed has been replaced years ago from the gentleman I purchased the truck from and is still in good shape just needing re-staining. I removed the rotten top material and found a excellent top frame built for this truck, (look at pics.) The original frame had been partially boxed and it has Bell drop front axle with 4 bar and friction shocks, the high light to me is the 60"s Jaguar XKE independent rear end which was high end back in the day. Has new front tires, rears look good but are old. I decoded the motor and it was a 1968 chevy 327 300 HP with power glide transmission that is in the truck. The Motor has been kept running over the years with very little street time since the 80"s, it runs good but could use a tune up and appears to be low milage. All gages work except for speedometer. No noise, no engine smoke, and good oil pressure, Transmission shifts fine also. The master cylinder was replaced and brakes rebuilt and stops well. If you wanted to drive the truck as is you could, however I would replace the gas pedal because it is in a terrible position for comfort, but does work. I would love to keep and restore this cool vintage hotrod with necessary mods to bring up to date, this was a purchase of passion because I remember this is what my father wanted to build back in the day. I already have 2 big projects ahead of it and not getting any younger, however my wife said if something didn"t go I would not get any older. Winning bidder to pay $500 deposit, and payment in full within 7 days and is responsible for pickup. Good luck and happy bidding.
