1986 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat SWB - 351 W - Automatic - 2WD This truck was purchased from an estate and is believed to be a 1 owner original mileage truck. Shows 91300 miles on the odometer which appears to be accurate based on the condition of the truck and the information given by the family of the owner. The truck sat in a workshop for about the last 10 years. The truck is a short wheelbase XLT Lariat model and is fully loaded with dual gas tanks, power steering, A/C and Heat, 351 W motor, carpet and headliner, two-tone paint, power windows & door locks. Pretty much has every option besides 4x4 and sliding rear glass. The truck runs and drives and is tagged, titled and insured in my name. I"ve driven the truck everyday for the past few weeks around town without issue. It seems to start right up every time. It does have quirks, it"s an old truck and I haven"t driven the truck any long distances. I replaced the carburetor but it could still use a few adjustments. The truck has a brand new exhaust system - sounds great. (does not have a catalytic converter) I"ve given the truck fresh oil, cleaned all the spark plugs (as they looked new), new battery, starter solenoid and ignition box. The rear brakes were gone through (new cylinders, hardware, hoses and shoes) and the front has new hoses and pads. The truck stops just fine but the pedal does hiss and probably will need a new booster and master cylinder before too long. ($130). Has a trailer brake set-up and tow hitch. The truck has been off the road for 10 years and it will potentially need some repairs possibly in the near future, at the moment it"s starting up, running and driving well for a truck that"s been off of the road for awhile. The truck is in amazing condition for a 35 year old pick up truck. You can see it in the photos. The truck has no rust on it. None. Cab corners are perfect, floors are amazing, rear bed side solid and the overall bed is excellent. It has imperfections but for a pick up truck they are very minor. It has a few scratches and some minor dings but all in all it"s quite amazing. The paint shines very nice after I gave it a cut and buff. Minor touch ups done to the original paint here and there. The only body work on the truck is the front passenger fender. The family of the owner said he hit a small dear and repaired the fender. The bumper has a minor push back on that side. It"s the only place the truck body has had work in my opinion. It"s one of the straightest and cleanest bodys on an unrestored 80s Ford I have seen. The bed is in excellent condition with no rust and just a few dents on the wheel wells. The interior is in excellent condition. No cracks in the dash. The door panels present well with light fading. Carpet is clean. Steering wheel is in amazing condition. The seat has a few minor imperfections but is really nice - super plush too. For an original interior it"s very nice. Stereo is original with a tape deck - works fine. Power windows and door locks work on both sides. Heat will make you sweat. The a/c blows cool but not ice cold. All gauges on dash work. If you are looking for this type of truck it"s really one of the nicest ones available.
