These small, open-bodied, off-road vehicles were built and sold for 28 years in this body style. This one clearly has a look that it"s going for, and we love it! Yes, that"s really a cannon hitched to the back of this military style Jeep. Painted in Flat Green with “Camo" netting over the passenger compartment and a windshield that can be lowered, this 1964 Jeep CJ-5 is ready to go to battle. The seller claims the powertrain on this vehicle is “numbers matching" although this is unverified by Gateway Classic Cars starting with a cast iron 134 CID Straight-4 engine (estimated 75hp/114lb ft of torque). Also era-appropriate is the 3-speed manual transmission which is synchronized beyond first gear, allowing for precise shifting while getting up to speed.
