1970 Fiat 500 Abarth Replica 695SS
The car is in my name with clean Canadian title for the last 22 years. I imported the car from Italy to Canada. I have enjoyed driving this car to car shows and short trips for 15 years. The last 7 years it has been inside my storage unit and has not been moved. Life changes and other priorities prevented me from continuing to drive and enjoy this car. I have not attempted to start the car since I put in storage. Before storage, the car was running smoothly and fully functional. I am selling the car in the condition as is and where is in not running condition because of the long storage. The car will definitely need a complete check over before it is road ready. Last 2 pictures show where and how the car has been in storage for the past 7 years, no attempt made to clean as you can see by the dust layer. Because of lack of space and the low profile of the car, I could not take any pictures of the undercarriage but I remember that there was some superficial rust.
The VIN # is 29354* ( last 2 numbers with held ) The non original odometer showing 70201 km but this is not the original odometer and the engine was also switched to the 650cc. I put around 4500 km since I imported the car from Italy 22 years ago.
This car was restored in early 1990s by the previous owner in Italy. He transformed the car into a racing version replica with the parts that were available in those days ( old school restoration ). Many modifications were made to look and drive faster like a racing car. Some of the modifications that I remember are: 1) original 499cc engine was switched to a more powerful, fast and reliable 650cc engine with special pistons 2) switched to a bigger carburetor 3) added an electrical cooling fan 4) lightened the fly wheel 5) switched to a rare transmission with 5 synchronized gearbox 6) electrical fuel pump set up 7) turn key start 8) sport exhaust 9) sport steering wheel, brand Momo 10) double line brake system 11) lowered suspension, front and rear 12) 4 rare vintage alloy rims, 10 inches size, brand LOW 13) extra gauge on the dashboard for RPM, oil pressure, gas, voltage, switch for second air cooled vent 14) double front beams 15) 4 aluminum fender flares added to the wheel arches 16) Abarth oil sump, extra large 4L 17) double coil ignition system 18) sporty seat belt OMP
Note the pictures were taken just before I put the car in storage 7 years ago. As you can see in the pictures, you can see the car is still presentable with a few small paint chips and veins and some small dings.
