1982 GMC Suburban 2500 Feature car in upcoming movie * * NO RESERVE * *
Body: The body is in very good condition. The floors and frame are clean and in excellent condition. The glass is not cracked or chipped and the bumpers are straight. The Suburban"s paint was aged for the movie and a wrap was installed, the paint has now been cut polished and restored, the wrap removed and it looks great. The rigging on the roof has been removed but the new rack (2100.00) remains with the truck. I have tinted the windows.
Interior: The interior has a worn lower cushion on the drivers side, the dash pad is cracked and the pull strap on the passenger"s front door is missing. The rear seat is good, the tailgate window moves up and down. The headliner has been removed during filming and is not included.
Mechanical: The 350/CID engine has been rebuilt and has less than 1000 miles on it. The truck runs and drives very well. The tires are good, it stops starts and goes down the road as it should.
History: This Suburban was the feature car in a full length movie filmed partly on Vancouver Island in Canada (as the movie has not been released yet I have agreed not to disclose the name of the film until it is released). I bought the Suburban immediately after the filming was completed and shipped it to my restoration shop to prepare it for sale. While detailing it I found signs that, previous to the movie it was used to haul a vintage race car. The main photo of the Suburban on the trailer was taken on the ferry just after the studio bought it and it was being shipped to Vancouver Island for filming. I have the title in my name.
Although I"m trying to down size I couldn"t resist buying this Suburban, it just looked so good. I knew when I bought it that it wouldn"t be realistic for me to keep it as I have so many vehicles already and I have run out of storage spots, this is my reason for selling it. If your looking for a very nice Square Body Suburban that is not far from being a show car then this may be the one for you. It has tremendous curb appeal, runs great and they are very hard to find in this condition.
