Vehicle Details Lexus GX. Lexus GX470 w/TORSEN Suspension:Family owned for nearly a decade – SOUTHERN CAR – NO SALT!This Handsome 2004 Lexus GX470 spent time in California and Florida before being acquired by the current owner’s adult son in July of 2014 when is had 80k on the odometer. He bought the GX470 as a CPO from Lexus of West Palm Beach Fl. in July 2014.ss He used it to travel the Florida Highways selling golf Apparel. When not on the road it was garaged by the son as he had another daily driver car. The son had the two front windows and the windshield professionally tinted. The windshield is clear and will not allow any UV light to pass through. You would never know it and it does work with No vision impairment whatsoever. This GX470 was routinely serviced by Lexus Of Palm Beach and the Jupiter Auto Spa while in Florida. In addition to Oil changes the transmission, Gear Oil, Brake and Power Steering Fluids were also changed both in FL & CT. The paperwork is included with the sale.It was acquired by the current owner (his Mom) in 2017 when the son moved from FL to NY. He was promoted and was commuting by train to NYC. At that time the odometer read approximately 121k. The sons Mom used it until the fall of 2021 to drive back and forth to her School Teacher job which was only 6 miles away. It was always garaged and pampered with Oil changes at 3,000 mile intervals, weekly auto washes and Semi Annual professional detail services. This sparkling GX470 is finished in ASH BLUE MICA (1E8). (ALL BODY PANELS ARE ORIGINAL PAINT. NO ACCIDENTS EVER!) (There is minor discoloration on a few of the plastic fender arches where the Clear coat was “heated or baked” off from the Florida sun)` over Dark Gray Premium Leather and is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 paired with a five speed automatic Transmission, a dual range transfer case and a locking center differential. Additional equipment 17” alloy wheels. Adaptive Variable Suspension, a Reverse Camera, Receiver Hitch, Roof Rails, Running Boards, Power Adjustable and Heated Front Seats. Third Row stow away seating. This GX470 also has a rear seat entertainment system with a functioning wireless remote. It has a CD cassette stereo with Mark Levinson Audio system with Navigation. Fog Lights and a glass sunroof. This GX470 is offered at NO RESERVE with complete service records, 2 Keys with remote, a clean carfax report (upon request) and a clean CT title. Service in 2022 included a New AAA warranted battery (January ‘22). Service in 2021 included OEM rear Brakes and Rotors@142k. NAPA brand Front Brakes and Rotors 136k and more (see service orders). Wood Veneers highlight the fresh smelling cabin. The wood accentuates the NEWER OEM dashboard which was a result of a Lexus Factory recall. The original dash was severely cracked. There were NO dashboards available at the time of CPO sale so the replacement dash occurred July 2015. THE DASHBOARD IS FLAWLESS AND AS NEW. The paperwork and warranty card are included with the sale. This GX also has had its RADIATOR, WATER PUMP & TIMING BELT REPLACED BY Lexus before 100K. Valve Cover Gaskets were replaced @117k. Left & Right BALL JOINTS and WHEEL BEARINGS were replaced in 2017 and 2020. (Please see Invoices that are included with sale.)There are no cuts rips or tears in the leather, door cards or carpets. It is all original. It is evident that this car was loved and cared for with an open checkbook by both father & son (we are both Car people! ) and the previous owners. One step inside and you will see how much it has been loved and cared for.Given its age it is almost inevitable that the air suspension will need attention in the near future. In fact, full disclosure; I can hear it exhale when you shut her down (i.e. a slow leak in rear airbags). It also takes a minute to refill those same airbags when you start it after it has been sitting for a while. Then it rides like a million bucks. I have a quote from Branca's Auto Center of $1,000 to convert the rear to fixed springs. If I want to stay with OEM Air then I'm looking at $2-& $4k to fix it depending on what it needs. All four tires are safe to drive on but are ready to be replaced. Lastly, the Florida heat did a number on a few of the Mark Levinson Speakers. The head unit and amp are fine as well as most of the speakers. There are at least two that have suffered dryness in the paper cones. They will need to be replaced. That is it. My son tells me that there is an almost “cult like” following of the earlier GX Models. In light of this recent GX interest potential GX buyers are looking for a great “Blank Canvas” GX470 to add a LIFT KIT and over sized wheels and turn her into a ROCK CRAWLER. Then this would be a great example to use as your “Blank Canvas”! If nobody is interested in that scenario and it doesn’t sell during this auction then I will convert the rear suspension to fixed and install 4 NEW MICHELINS. Then I will relist the car.
