This roadster was carefully assembled/modified/improved over a 21/2 year period by a perfectionist “old school” car guy (74 yrs.)
Less than 1,000 miles on a Larry’s Auto Machine high performance bored/stroked balanced 2.3 liter WRX turbo 4 cylinder incl: STI crank, Manley performance pistons, King bearings, Brian Crower 272 degree cams and the ECU has been re-programed.
An oil cooler has been added and the Moroso oil pan is protected by a skid plate.
The engine is boosted by an IHI VF39 turbo and controlled by a Cobb tuning boost controller. Intake air is cooled by an air to water intercooler. Tumbler valve delete and cold air intake add to engine breathing. A Walbro 255 lph. Fuel pump feeds cleaned injectors.
The 5 speed trans. Has new 1st and 2nd. gears, new clutch kit, new diff. bearings and seals and an OBX helical limited slip is installed.
The Subaru ABS braking system has been maintained and 4 rebuilt calipers, new master cylinder with remote reservoir, larger rear rotors and stainless hoses add to stopping power.
All suspension components have been re-newed or upgraded including 500 lb. rear springs and front bump steer kit.
The wheels are Team Dynamics Motorsport 17” X 8” and 17” X 9”. Dunlop Direzza Z II tires are 215/40 17 front and 245/40 17 rear.
Cabin mods include: NRG racing seats with 3 point retractable belts and G-Force 6 point harnesses. Pro-Sport oil temp., oil pressure and intake temp. gauges have been mounted and a custom glove box console was added in addition to an under dash entry light.
A Sport Line Racing 330 mm. Steering wheel and Momo hub add quicker steering.
To meet Ct. reg. Requirements a Factory Five windshield wiper kit was installed.
