Vehicle description

1969 GMC SWB PICKUP
This 1969 GMC has spent its entire life with two families. My father purchased this truck new in 1969 and and sold it to our neighbor in 1976. I purhased the truck in 2008 and in 2015 finished a mild restoration and updates. It does retain all of its original sheet metal and has never been wrecked , but is rusted in all the typical places. lower fenders, lower bed, etc. . Non of these rusted places are in normal viewing areas unless you look underneath the truck and really aren"t detrimental to the character. In keeping with rat rod farm truck theme I painted the original black truck in a flat black with the red oxide primer fading through slightly. UPGRADES 2 inch drop spindles in front with lowering blocks in rear Power brakes were added with Wilwood Calipers in front and original drums in rear Rear wheel houses were widened to make room for the American Racing 20/9.5 with 305/50R20 Front roll on 20/9 with 295/45R20 Fast ratio steering box Twin Derale fans with Aluminum Radiator Original 12 bolt Posi rear end with factory 373 gears Gas tank relocated to under the bed Stainless steel exhaust with Flowmasters DRIVETRAIN This classic swb now starts and runs like a modern truck thanks to a refreshed LT1 and Tremic T56- 6 speed. INTERIOR Custom Autosound Radio New dash cover , new sound deadener and carpet. Recovered factory seat New Instrument bezel I believe all gauges are factory. Temperature gauge needs replacing and can be purchased through LMC Most of All . . COLD AC courtesy of Vintage Air
If you"re looking for a show piece that you would be afraid to even get a scratch on then this classic truck isn"t for you. However, if you"re looking for a cool old truck with a dependable drive train and ac then look no further.
Notes. The only thing I can add is the rear main leaks slightly and front tires will scrape inner fender on a very bumpy road at a higher speed. This can be solved with a spacer to coil spring or lower profile tire. Standard disclaimer stuff. . I am the owner and not a dealer. I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. It"s been a great truck for two families for 50 years. Now it"s time for this classic to start a new chapter with your family. HAPPY BIDDING!
