Vehicle description
Vehicle Details You are bidding on a 1996 Dodge 1500 Magnum V8 pickup truck. It is registered and the motor runs strong. The transmission is also strong. The tires are almost new with very little wear, tire size LT 215 /85R16. The spare tire is new and unused, but a different size, Goodyear Wrangler P245/75R16 (it looks dirty from being under the truck). It has a NEW CATALYTIC CONVERTER with about 150 miles on it. Replace power steering pump 2 years ago. All the lights work except the blinkers, they come on but do not blink. Wipers work but need blades. The right and left rearview mirrors are mixed matched. Heater works well but no air conditioning. Power windows work. Radio works. Also has an 8 CD changer, mounted under the right rear passenger seat. The truck starts every time. I am the 2nd owner of the vehicle, the original owner used AMSOIL, I could not find a local AMSOIL dealership, so I used full synthetic instead. I started with Castrol and switched to Valvoline. All the service records are at Valvoline formally Oil Can Henrys. For the past few years, I have rarely used the truck, though I do move it every week for street sweeping. It does need a lot of TLC. The windshield has cracks, the interior is shot. Needs complete interior including seats, dash, and headboard. The gauges work except the gas gauge. Interior light works. I do have a new dash bezel for it. Needs shocks and rear brakes. The paint is faded, and bed is beat up, but it does have a decent bed liner. Recently I discovered a gas leak from the gas tank on the passenger side. It seems to be a possible leak from the tank located under one of the tank support straps. I know it is not the fuel pump because I had that replaced before and it’s not that. It only leaks at approximately a 3rd of a tank or more, but the less gas the better. Because of this it has affected the pressure in the gas line, so if the weather is warm outside the engine will not idle properly. I must keep my foot on the gas. If the weather is cool outside like in the morning, it runs normal. With that being said, I recommend the buyer tow it rather than attempt driving it away. It would be my advice to repair the fuel system issue first. Honestly it could be something a simple as a fuel filter. I am fond of the truck, but my domestic situation has changed, and I have nowhere to work on the vehicle and parking is also a factor. To the right person this could be a good work truck with little investment. The powertrain is strong, I maintained it regularly. It has just been sitting (moved once a week) and I can’t work on it. If it were me, I would replace the gas tank, the windshield, the shocks, and back brakes… and INSTANT WORK TRUCK! ! In this used vehicle market, it makes sense! ! Keep in mind that my reserve is priced to where even if you “parted” the truck out you would come out ahead. Just the engine, tranny, catalytic converter, and tires are worth it! BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR COST OF LOGISTICS FOR VEHICLE PICKUP. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. DELIVERY NOT AVAILABLE. The truck is being sold AS IS. GOOD LUCK ! ! HAVE FUN ! ! Images Download the Motors app
