Dodge Ram 2500. 1997 Dodge Plow Truck with 8" 6" Western Plow. 8.0 liter V-10 gas engine. Go big or go home! My personal plow never used commercially, not ever. Original wear edge! ! All original truck and plow except I replaced the carpet with vinyl 8 years ago as well as the windshield and put in a one piece rear window. Engine and transmission are original. Steering gear has upgrade to prevent wandering that is common to these trucks. Has suspension air bags and mount for 5th wheel (only used to pick up a yucky project boat in state and 3 years later deliver the boat to auction (250 miles)). I installed aftermarket trailer brakes that work okay. 7-flat connecter in the box with an extension for regular hitches. Has little dents and two medium ones pictured. Has rusty spot on fender behind front passenger side tire. Newer headlights and ugly aluminum rack I built 21 years ago. The plow is phenomenal! This is how you set up a plow truck. No dually, no diesel, no long cab! Glass is good, tires are good snow tires, runs good. Oil pressure gauge doesn"t work, never did. Always maintained with synthetic oil. Never painted. Never took to a body shop either for anything. Never had it in an accident.
Used this truck to clear our big ass driveway and the driveways on my project houses in Alaska. We moved back to ND 6 years ago and I put the plow on every year to clear our little in town driveway and my in-laws. Then it sits all year. It"s time to sell it to someone who needs to move lots of snow. Its a workhorse! I wish my new Ram was built like this! Nice shelves behind the seat, heavy steel body panels and of course there"s no replacement for displacement. It has the original chrome steel rims and they are in great shape. My 2013 Ford is on its 3rd set of rims already and now the lugs are rusting on it. What do we have to do to get the big three to manufacture decent trucks at a decent price I wonder? ? As far as shipping goes I need to know it you plan to drive it a long distance because I will put the plow in the box. I don"t like to drive it on the highway with the plow on because it"s hard on the front end. It doesn"t get any better mileage with the plow on either. Thanks for looking. Alex
