1995 Defender 90 300TDi (Turbo Diesel) 5 Speed, original factory paint, lot of dings and scratches.
Runs very smoothly, many repairs and maintenance done. UKVin# SALLDVAF7TA974274
This is a solid LR 90, the chassis is bone dry, the bulkhead is solid and mechanically sound. She has quite a few battle scars, dents, scratches, and a little surface corrosion in places (big dent on N/S fender) and the hood has faded a little from the sun but this is all part of a classic defender and all cosmetic. Please be realistic, this is a 25-year-old vehicle.
The rear quarter chassis Cross Member was replaced in 2016, I have replaced the dreaded water pump gasket (300TDI issue), and whilst that was done, we replaced the Timing belt, water pump & the oil breather that was leaking. We also had to replace the intercooler which was damaged. The Timing belt was changed in 2018 and has only done 6,000 miles. We also had new brake pads fitted all round and rear discs, rocker cover gasket replaced that was leaking and also the sump removed cleaned and resealed. When we bought her she wandered all over the place (more than normal for a defender ), so we replaced the steering arm which was worn and fitted new poly bushes all round and replaced the A-frame ball joint. The interior is ok apart from a couple of tears on seat sides and the top of the middle seat has come apart (see photo) but could be repaired or easily replaced but it"s never bothered us. This has x3 seats in front (all with seat belts) and one rear bench seat in the back. Timing belt done 156.701miles Brake pad front and rear Rotors replaced Intercooler 300tdi Ball joints replaced Stering rod Bushing Lever steering Exhaust Silencer/muffler Filter kit Clutch and slave cylinder This is an unmolested Defender 90 that has many scars on the bodywork but is solid in the right places and the bulletproof 300TDI drives very smooth.
