Daimlers were made for British government and royalty into the 90"s. This car was made in Britain for mainland Europe, and is left hand drive. Our father imported the car and had it modified with seat belts, sidelights and what was needed so that it could be driven in the US. Naturally, it has no airbags or other modern safety devices that today"s cars have. It has always been garaged has minimal rust and has never been used commercially. The odometer may be in kilometers, not miles. We have enough "toys", and wish to sell. Within the last year, we had the hoses and belts replaced, rebuilt the carburetors, cleaned the fuel system and coated the two gas tanks to eliminate debris that were getting into the fuel. It has a new fuel pump. The brake lines were replaced. New tires were also put onto the car. We"ve included a photocopy of the work done. The engine is a DOHC 6 cylinder Jaguar engine with 2 SU side-draft carburetors. The engine sounds and runs great. The transmission is a 3 speed automatic. The park transmission selection should always be used with the handbrake as the transmission has popped out of park from time to time. There are a couple of holes in the hood where previous ornaments were mounted. These cars were basically hand-built, and feature burled walnut and race car type toggle switches on the dash. There are two keys; one for a steering lock, and a second to start, plus a start button. The interior is in very good condition with no signs of wear. A vintage Comcast car cell telephone is included. Overall the car is in good operating and cosmetic condition and only needs to be used more. If you like unique and different autos this may be for you. It is titled in Pennsylvania but has no current inspection certificate. The car is being sold "as is, where is".
