Older US models use GM Ecotec engines where this has a Honda K24 turbo (runs forever). Vehicle description
Road registered (road legal-check with your local state laws) Ariel Atom 3S. Quick stats: 2.4L I4 Turbocharged engine, 365hp. Weighs 1,450 lbs, power-to-weight ratio > Bugatti Veyron. Former press car for Ariel North America and featured on NBC Sports /Drive. This Atom has many different custom features and is truely a one-of-a-kind. Multiple car show winner. As built MSRP over $100k and one of approximately 60 built. You are more likely to see a Bugatti or Pagani then one of these on the street.
Aerodynamics:
Custom front/rear wings
There was one pair made in the UK, and I believe this is the only set in the USA. All carbon fiber and adjustable. At 100mph, front makes 330 lbs and rear 310 lbs of downforce. Makes more downforce at 100mph than oem wings at top speed.
Wheels/Tires:
Toyo R888
Five spoke motorsport wheels
Lots of tread left on the fronts/rears. They last due to the light weight of the car and ride quality/noise is not as bad as you would think for a track car. I ride without the wheel fender (mud covers), but will include them with the car.
Brakes/Suspension:
Alcon 2 piece brake rotors
Performance brake pads (pads at 9mm/10mm front/rear)
Stainless steel brake lines
Fully adjustable JRI suspension

Although this car has no abs, the brakes perform very well/difficult to lock up.
