Vehicle description
I have owned this car since 2016 and have extensive maintenance records and receipts. The motor is an s52 out of a 1998 m3/4/5 with 120k on it. The chassis, rear end, and transmission are original with 197xxx. California/ west coast car with clean title. Highlights:
Engine/transmission:
-Motor is 1998 s52 with s54 DUAL SUMP PICKUP ($1000 alone)
-oil pump nut safety wired
-Intake
-Full exhaust with obd2 headers and trackpipe
-rebuilt s52 pink injectors with matching TRM tune for mods/93 octane/obd1 s52/7k redline
-underdrive pulleys
-new bosch alternator
-fresh cooling system and silicone hoses
-original s50 obd1 intake manifold
-oil changes every 3k miles with m1 0w40 FS european
-fresh single mass flywheel and clutch (approx 20k on it)
-zf 5 speed shifts mint, no 5th gear lean or other detent issues
Suspension+Brakes:
-koni yellow sport shocks (adjustable one way) with H&R oe sport springs (mild lowering and stiffer rates but still streetable
-26mm eibach front sway/20mm 96-98 m3 rear sway with poly bushings (new endlinks front and rear)
-ground control street front camber plates
-oem reinforcement plates for shock towers front and rear
-fresh rear tophats and spring isolators
-original wheels with stock size nitto nt05 (fairly worn)
-17x8.5 kosei"s with 245/40 hankook rs3 can be included if deal is right
-front suspension and steering completely rebuilt: z3 quick rack with completely all new lines, inner and outer tie rods, treehouse style LCA bushings, meyle HD LCA"s, new front endlinks
-Hawk HP+ pads all around with good rotors and spare set of rear rotors, motul dot4 brake fluid, stainless front brake lines
-powerflex black rear trailing arm bushings
-excellent streetable alignment, car drives straight and turns in/handles amazingly well -extended wheel stud conversion from motorsports hardware
Exterior:
-Lots of new/refreshed trim pieces to replace worn old parts
-paint is decent and NOT completely original. do not expect an all original car. presents well however.
-stock exterior except for smoked corners and side markers, oem fog light deletes, euro zkw style glass headlights, black kidneys and euro rear tails. only rear window is tinted (haven"t got around to removing the tint)
Interior:
-fully complete black leather interior in 7/10 condition
-needs typical e36 headliner and some glovebox sag
-passenger vader has a tear in seat bottom but not terrible
-all leather is original in the car and the interior in general is completely original
-front door cards are EXCELLENT near perfect condition. very rare to find in this shape
-rear door card/panels have some minor leather separation but still presentable.
-no tears in rear seat
-carpet is decent
-dash good, has aftermarket head unit that i would probably replace were i keeping the car
-OBC 18 button working perfectly with no dead pixels
-brake lining light illuminated, but plenty of pad left.
Overall this is a great driver quality e36 m3 with a clean title and NO RUST. it is not a beat, rusty, east coast e36 with destroyed rear shock mounts/trailing arm mounts. all of the major structural areas that are problematic on these cars are good. the trunk has the original toolkit, a newish battery, and the original full size spare with a good tire on it. I am only open to negotiation with serious buyers in person. no joyriders, no lowballers, no dreamers. if you want an e36 m3 to drive and enjoy, this is it.
EDITED: in terms of flaws and/or current issues, the only thing really worth mentioning is that the windshield has a crack on the passenger side bottom (out of drivers field of view and will pass inspection), and there is an exhaust leak somewhere in the manifold area (haven"t had a chance to look into but is minor).
