There are perhaps a few other BX models in North America, but this is the only top-of-the-line example from the ideal year 1990, a 100% all original, unmodified BX 16S with every possible option available except leather seats. It has the sought after Peugeot XU9J4 engine and is one of the last cars Citroen made with hydro-pneumatic suspension. Once on the road, one experiences a lively, mechanical driving experience. The VIN is : VF7XBEJ0002EJ8002 I lived in France for many years and had various BX’s. This one was purchased in 2006 in Paris and registered in my name in the Loire-Atlantique region (plates go with the car). The car’s Canadian registration has expired, but it"s road legal in North America. It has been always been garaged and only rarely driven. There is substantial documentation that goes with the car, including import papers and all maintenance files (PDF) - electrical, mechanical, etc. This vehicle has never been in an accident, the body is complete and straight, there"s no rust anywhere, excellent glass without cracks or chips, the upholstery, although very slightly faded, is in good condition with no holes, tears, worn spots or stains. The paint shows its age, but as can be seen from the pics is without peeling or worn surfaces. The carpet is good and the dash has no splits, discoloration or thermal distortion. Interior doors and ceiling panels are excellent. Steering wheel has no cracks and very little wear. Brakes and spheres were done less than 3000 km ago at Citroen garage. I wanted to rebuild this car, but I’ve recently retired and have other projects to do. To be sure, this is an excellent choice for restoration.
