Vehicle description
2003 Chevy Suburban 2500 3/4 Ton 4x4, 6.0 V8.
The Good:
This Suburban starts, runs, shifts, and drives great and the 4x4 works without issue and the interior seats are in excellent condition and has never been smoked in, seats 8 people. Recently replaced parts include all door handles, rear passenger window motor and regulator, brake lines replaced a couple years ago, battery 1 year old, throttle body replaced recently, main fuel line replaced less than 1 year ago. Mostly highway miles oil changed regularly and used as a corporate vehicle most of its life without any harsh towing use and has never been in any accidents. Tires are newer Michelin heavy duty truck tires with plenty of tread left, tires alone are valued at nearly $1200.
The Bad:
Vehicle body is very rusty with rust holes. Does not have a radio. Air conditioning system has a leak but compressor still works. (does not blow cold air without recharging) Brake light is on (needs ABS sensor replaced but brakes still work) Air bag light is on (was told need clock spring repair. Air bag has never been deployed) Some electrical glitches (wipers, interior lighting type stuff) Drivers door sags slightly but still opens, closes, latches, and locks fine. Driver side window/lock control panel works but is taped to keep in place.
This is a good running reliable vehicle that would be great as a tow or work vehicle for someone that"s handy at fixing the little things that go wrong with it. I used it every summer to tow a 24ft pontoon boat to and from the lake without it breaking a sweat, really amazing tow vehicle rated to tow up to 12,000lb.
