Vehicle description
This is a very unique 1966 Chev C10 long box step side 1/2 ton pickup I am selling for a friend who has had it for going on ten years. It was converted to a dump bed some 40 years ago. It says Wards on the ram as in Montgomery Ward. To activate the dump bed there is a t-handle switch on the floor next to the gear shift knob. You pull up on that while you turn the key on and push a button on the far left side of the dash. Push the t-handle down for the dump bed to go back down. This neat old truck definitely has patina all over it. The original color was a pale light blue, and it was painted the darker blue years ago. The truck is very usable and would be great for a landscaping business or whatever you can think of. There is a pic of the actual build sheet which I found behind the seat, which shows it was built in the Fremont California factory. It has a very strong 283 with a Holly carb, 4-speed on the floor, and manual brakes. Power steering was added which makes it very easy to drive. It has a Borla dual exhaust system that sounds great. In one of the pics is an invoice for over $3,600 for various items which were recently done to make it road worthy. It also has a new seat and new carpeting installed. The truck had a few small rust out areas I had to fix, mainly in the lower front fender sections. They were repaired with the correct metal. It shows 79,000 miles on the odometer, which was told to the current owner to be the actual mileage. Call Steve with questions. 208-376-0701.
