2002 Porsche 911 Convertible Carrera
This car is absolutely stunning! It is such a great ride! This turns heads at every light. The Speed Yellow fits this car perfectly. I have been listing vehicles on since 1998 and these cars are fun to list. I have sold several cars and bikes for this owner and they always take care of their vehicles. According to Porsche this is a 966/911 convertible. It was assembled and produced in Stuttgart Zuffenhausen BASE Porsche Base Model 411- 18” LY Alloy Carrera Wheels 446- Wheel Caps with Colored Crest 476- Porsche Stability Management 982- Supple Leather Front and Rear AF- Black Leather Seats M6A- Black Mats-Porsche Lettering P05- Advanced Technic Package P15- Power Seat Package V9- Black Top X4- Speed Yellow Production was 2002-01-01 Division PCNA Commission # 456145 I went over this car very well. I did a clay bar and wax job on the car, so I know it very well. It is clean. There is no paint damage and it is very nice. I also was recently a certified vehicle inspector for the state of Maryland. The car is in very good mechanical condition. The car has been maintained and garaged. It was covered this winter and the battery was tendered. I personally started the car several times this winter just to keep it going.
This morning I drove this car from Cumberland, Maryland to Washington DC. It ran flawless and was a blast to drive. There are some papers with the car. The car has always had Mobile 1 Synthetic Oil used in it. The car has been tuned up less than 20k miles ago. It had a complete tune up with plugs coils etc. We have a local mechanic that specializes in European and foreign cars. He is the one in this area that knows these cars. We told him that we were selling the car and to do a complete check over and service/oil change on the car. He did so and gave the car a thumbs up. He said that there are no issues with the car at all. You can get into the car and drive it anywhere. I know many of these cars had issue with the IWS bearing in the transmission. I do not have the paperwork to prove that the bearing was replaced. I do however have a Carfax report that on 4/30/2004 at 19,130 miles the transmission was removed and the Flywheel/Flex plate along with crankshaft oil seals were replaced. I called the Porsche dealership that did the work. They do not have records that go back that far and they could not find the invoice for me. They did tell me that the bearing was most likely replaced at that time. That is the work that was normally does when these parts and the labor listed was completed. However, I cannot prove with invoices that the bearing was replaced.
A mods4cars remote top was installed that allows you to operate the power top with the original remote control. I do not know anything about this addition, but I have the paperwork for the controller.
XM Radio was also installed at some point. An aftermarket stereo was added to the car to give the driver access to the cellphone options. I do not like aftermarket stereos even if they sound good. The cars paint is all very good. I cannot see any prior paint work or repairs at all. There are very few chips or marks on the car. Make sure you take a look at the video and I point out any marks on the car. This car starts right up and sounds perfect.
The tires on the car are not matching. The front tires are Pirelli and the rears are Hankooks. I would replace the tires with a new set of matching tires. The tread is good, and you can get miles out of these tires but they do not match. On the drive today, I noticed that the tires should be replaced. They are too hard and most likely just old and they have road noise. A new set of tires will help the ride a lot.
This car comes with the matching Hard Top. This is a great option for this car. The car also comes with the hard-top garage dolly so you can store the hard top when it is not in use. CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO This car really is a well kept car, and you will have a hard time finding a car like this one. It has never been restored. It is a 2002 so it will most likely not be 100%. However, you will enjoy this car and get many miles of use and fun. It is a great entry level Porsche that draws a lot of attention. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. I can take more pictures of the car if needed and I can do more video footage if that will help. I will assist you with shipping this car anywhere in the world… at your expense. I have been selling on for many years. Up until recently I was doing this full time for a dealership. I am now starting to get into it again on my own. So I can help you out and you can be sure you are getting a great car. Feel free to call me and make your best offer. We have a reserve on the car, but it is a good reserve. You can reach me at Jason
