1989 TOYOTA MR2 - CALIFORNIA CAR - 5-SPEED
I purchased this car from an AW11 enthusiast who was planning on installing an upgraded motor and had on a non-operational. I have a 1986 MR2 in my small collection that I purchased from the original owner with 72,000 miles that has leather and power package. I wanted a later style MR2 and purchased this one.
It has a very clean blue interior; nearly spotless and has the original T-top covers. The OEM stereo is gone as is the aftermarket one but it is wired with some nice speakers and an Alpine amp under the drivers seat. It blows a little smoke when started cold but I have detected any after initial start up; it pulls strong through the gears. The clutch engages nicely but toward the top. The car was originally a light blue metallic and was repainted at some point the current color. Not a bad paint job but definitely not a show car. Shines up nicely but has imperfections
I just installed a set of 17" wheels with tires that have less than 100 miles on them and have a road hazard warranty from Discount tire.
I have receipts dating back to 2000 for repairs.

This is a 31 year old car and is not perfect but is a nice example of a last year Toyota MR2; especially at such a low price.
