Vehicle description
Buick Riviera 1972 only 28,000 mls. Barn find style show car for events, promotions and TV shows • Buick Riviera 1972 Low-Mileage Preserved Derelict Style rebuild engine • Project car for TV shows and promotions, used look / restored powertrain From the WH Collection this Buick Riviera 1972 kept the untouched (not restored) barn find look together with 100% rebuild engine, revised powertrain, suspension, brakes, electrical and detailed interior with new OEM spec carpet (Seats are original and perfect), new rubber seals, new original Fischer doorsteps, new radio (the original plus an 8 track cassete player are included), 4 new whitewall tires and perfect working Air Conditioning. The car was barn find bought in 2016 after 14 years in storage by the first owner that parked the car in perfect working condition. (pictures available) The car was detailed by USA’s top specialist at Autogeek (history available at Autogeek Forum / detailing a beater) preserving the used patina and the original look, except for comfort items as A/C, carpet, radio and rubber seals. The car had a minor “nose” damage that was carefully fixed not to interfere in the original “barn find” condition. The original engine was running but showed signs from the long inactivity, therefore it was fully restored by classic V8 specialist Paul Grasso, with original OEM / high quality parts maintaining the original matching numbers. Also the entire power train was revised, brakes, new shocks, rubbers and complete new exhaust system. New belts, Radiator, Oil and water pumps. No expense spared for perfect driving condition. Bills for over US$13,000 for mechanical services are available. Four brand new white wall tires mounted in 7/2019 This Riviera is a very collectable and desirable version with around 28,000 miles it came with rare speed control (not working), rare ½ vinyl roof, electric windows and the iconic factory/dealer Ziebart rust protection in metallic green on dark green interior. The 1972 Buick Riviera is not only an iconic collector automobile due to his incomparable boat-tail design but also one of “the last Dinosaurs” with his huge V8 455 ci / 300HP engine, Turbohydramatic 400, variable power steering and the pre bumper law bulky bumpers. The car runs and drives as it should as perfect daily driver, no engine, transmission, suspension or brake issues and no fluid leaks. Body shows and had preserved minor rust spots, minor dents and paint patina.
