The current owner of this example has made upgrades to make this more reliable and drivable. Starting with a 1996 Toyota 2RZ Fuel injected 2.4L Inline 4-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission from a 1998 Tacoma and pushing the power to the ground through a 1998 Tacoma rear end with 3.58 gears.
