Vehicle description
I"m selling my beloved 1998 BMW M3. The car drives perfectly and has a fantastic vintage vibe and an excellent design. Mechanically it is in impeccable working order and the vehicle has always been expertly maintained. The convertible top operates perfectly. I"ve been going to the same mechanic for many years so all records of service are available to interested parties and/or the purchaser. The only issues with the car at this juncture are cosmetic and quite minor: the convertible top window needs to be replaced (its a bit foggy and the plastic is splitting from the surrounding canvas). The bumpers (front and back) could benefit from being repainted due to surface nicks and/ or paint chips. There are a few other little spots on the body with similarly light cosmetic damage. The interior leather is slightly worn in a few areas. Recently I upgraded the stereo to a bluetooth situation so it"s totally smartphone compatible and there"s a microphone for voice calling. It works great and really modernized the car! This is an aftermarket kit from GROM that is connected into the CD player in the trunk and operates on bluetooth. The original CD player remains intact, as is the entire dashboard so there are no visible modifications in adding this stereo upgrade. System is easily deinstalled if unwanted for any reason! I had a brand new key made for the car via BMW recently because the original was worn down (it works but sometimes doesn"t catch interior locking mechanism right away). I also have a valet key that work"s very well, so buyer will have a total of 3 keys. The car has been in my family for almost 20 years. My dad gave it to me 16 years ago when I moved to CA from FL. He got it from an older gentleman in FL who bought it new and had it for just a few years and put very little mileage on it. That first owner also took amazing care of it. The car has been garaged its entire life, with the exception of the last year when it has been parked in a driveway.
