Bmw m535i, E28, sought after classic, engine seized, too many fake people asking too many questions, this time haven’t got the time for them, it’s for sale, if one wants it arrange to come view it, we’ll discuss the car then, it’s in a tight space, I haven’t got the time to waste, I’ll know who is serious and will arrange viewing accordingly, if you haven’t got £10,000 , it’s not for you, yes you may get them cheaper, find one and get that one instead. . and i hope you get a good one too. I appreciate you looking at this one though, thank you. Serious buyers will come to view the car, so I’ve no other pictures for the wet kids! !, I’m in no rush, I’ve had it twenty years, last 7 years it’s not moved a mile. . except for moving parking locations. it requires either a new engine, or recon the same one. And if you’ve got a M5 plant this motor is a 30 - 50 grand toy, those who know, know. V5 in my name, no mot, will need to be recovered on truck or trailer, vehicle rolls easy, previously restored so hopefully no welding work but buyer to verify for themselves, bodywork and paint job required. .
Its a genuine M535i with the id tag indicating that, its a manual, cream velour interior, no rips, needs a valet and drivers seat - i think has previously been patched up. Upholstery and dashboards complete, windows may need silicone spray at the least just in case they are stiff, no test drive possible as engine seized, happened a quarter of a mile away from home, heard a slight ticking just a mile or so away from home, tried to limp it home but failed, oil starvation i think, personally i think the cams locked up for lack of oil, they used to have that as a common fault due to a oil feed supply bolt loosening up and losing oil pressure, it was not a bottom end knock when the noise started, i know that, anyway, never investigated it so i don"t know, if you"re lucky it may free up, but hey, that"s next mans luck as far as i"m concerned.
Above advert on Facebook for last few days, lots of interest but the people who saw the advert did not offer to buy, or i would not have listed it here, I"m not looking at an ONO offer, i really do want ten grand, please don"t waste both our time if you have not got that money, if it sells OK, happy days, if not, well, we"ll see again in a few years if i"m still around, otherwise i leave it to the kids so not willing to drop the price, sorry if that sound arrogant, its just that I"ve had it that long, i shouldn"t be selling it anyway. and many people have told me that. . . its not for us cash strapped simple guys, hence I"ve not been able to get it sorted, and the fact that i have another 35 cars to sort out, i am not a car trader, i like my cars, i don"t buy and sell cars, i just buy and keep, Reason for selling is i need to reinvest in a new business, I"m selling some of my prized assets, although not all on Ebay, please do not take any of my comments in a bad way, i do not mean any disrespect to anyone, i just need some cash.
I know i am asking for a lot of money, i appreciate the vehicle needs work, honestly, it requires a new engine or repair the same one, easy, if i could be bothered and had the funds i could get it done within a week or so, quicker if i really wanted to, needs bodywork and paint job but nothing serious, worst part is a few bubbling areas on side of windscreen, nothing a local car body shop and spray shop could not sort out, not complicated at all, heck if i was still in the garage business i would finish that as a job within a day, should not take a body-shop more than a few days to turn it around, i can understand those who think I"m outrageous, however, its my car and its what i value it at, its also a buyers market and they determine what its really worth, so good luck, was going to set a reserve but no need, will settle for buy it now only so that filters out the people who may not want to waste each others time. . i have no more pictures, if you want to view you are welcome to make arrangements. all the pictures on the listing are for the car when i finished the work last time, i will update one latest latest picture of the car as it stands outside my house tomorrow during daylight.
I am advertising it on the worldwide market but i can only arrange shipping at an extra cost to maybe UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, any other place please arrange your own transport or get in touch and see what we can arrange but payment for the car in advance please. If delivery is required it can be paid for on delivery.
Also i am advertising it but cannot update the payment method to pounds sterling hence the higher price in US Dollars. Also only advertising for 7 days, i will not be renewing this advert.
