Gateway classic cars of Nashville is proud to offer for sale this 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner. This incredible car features what I believe was a first for the US car market, a retractable hardtop convertible. This car looks great with the top up or down. The color combination could not be better in a light blue and classic white with two tone blue interior. This classic convertible is at home under the neon lights of South beach, the narrow roads of San Francisco, cruising the back roads of Virginia or the streets of your hometown! Under the tilt forward hood is the 352 Cubic inch Ford small block that is known to have plenty of torque and power. The owner states that the gears changes are handled by the C6 3 speed automatic transmission for easy cruising. The bench seat is great for sitting close and holding hands with that special someone, while everyone you drive past has to stop and stare. This is not a “get lost in the shuffle" car, it demands attention! Now if you really want to form a crowd, just activate the top, everyone will have to watch as this car transforms for a drop top to a hardtop in no time at all. I can"t imagine the engineers at Ford when they were told to make this a hardtop convertible in 1957. How do you make a top disappear into the trunk? I think they use magic pixie dust but that"s just my opinion. Now this 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner has a rebuilt engine and transmission and a fresh paint job, like a lady all dressed up and ready for a night on the town. You and your lady will both be happy with the Air conditioning system installed in this car to help keep you cool with the top down on those warm summer evenings. The options for this 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner include: Air conditioning, AM radio, American racing 5 star rims and the star of the show, a retractable hard top. [ omitted ]. [ omitted ].
